LETS CATCH UP...

Hey, it’s been awhile, we wanted to update you guys on what Yakpo Collective has been up to since our last blog post, and promote other events and activities that some artists have been involved in. Be sure to check out our Instagram for more details.

First, we wanted to mention that our official store is online, up and running! We have a wide variety of  limited and high quality merchandise, including phone cases, tote bags, t-shirts, flip flops, and more. We also have limited quantity prints for sale that were previously exhibited at The New Wave and we think it would make a great gift or decorative piece for your home, and this helps Yakpo Collective to build sustainability. Our printable merch collection includes works by Tenzin Chosank, Tsewang Lhamo, Tenzin Rabyang, and Yangdol Namgyal. If a particular artist or piece has caught your eye at the show, be sure to buy a print to show your love!

Many Yakpo artists’ works were featured at the Himalaya Contemporary Art Exhibit in Lhasa, Tibet this August. This exhibition was an amazing opportunity to allow Tibetan exile art be accessible to the Tibetan community within Tibet, and we want to thank Tenzing Sedon Ukyab and Nyema Droma for their collaboration and support.

The Snow Lion Club will be hosting their first art show, Thrive and Prosper, this Friday, September 20th, at Little Tibet in Toronto (Parkdale). Tenzin Rabyang, Tenzin Chosank, Tsewang Lhamo, Tenzin Lhamo Dorjee, and many other talented Tibetan artists will be showcasing their work at this event. If you are in Toronto, please come out and show your support for The Snow Lion Club and amazing Tibetan artists!

Yakpo Collective hopes to continue collaborating with artists outside of exhibitions and events. We want to help support up-and-coming Tibetan artists, and encourage them to continue pursuing their passion. Please don’t forget to check out our website, we deeply appreciate your interests and continued support for Tibetan Contemporary Art.
